Project Pan 15 Intro

I have always loved watching Project Pan videos on YouTube and I have realised that I need to do a Project Pan myself. One of my close friends was staying over at my house recently and asked could she use a cleanser/face wash of mine. I was able to show her five different ones to choose from. I then decided to write down everything that I wanted to use up and the list ended up having 77 items! I am hoping to do a Project Pan every 3 months, with an introduction, update and finale post but this mightn't go to plan. Here are the items I would like to use up this project:

Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover

Status: 3/4 full
Even though this is an eye makeup remover, I am going to use it for my whole face. I have already been using it for the past 2 weeks. This is one of my 4 cleanser/makeup removers. I don't mind this product, I just want to get back to using my trusty coconut oil as a makeup remover.
Difficulty: Easy

Osiris Avise 3 in 1 Face Wipes

Status: Unknown
I personally hate face wipes and this is one of three packets I have. I'm thinking of giving one of them away to a friend as I have 2 open at the moment. I use these to clean my makeup brushes, if they look a bit dirty between washes, removing swatches and sometimes if I'm really lazy to remove my makeup. I don't have high hopes for getting these finished in this project.
Difficulty: Hard

Giordani Gold Cleansing Milk

Status: 3/4 full
I've been using this on and off since October. I've been using this as a second cleanser after use Nivea Double Effect Eye Makeup Remover to remove my makeup. I think I should get this nearly finished in the next 3 months.
Difficulty: Moderate

Simple Kind to Eyes Soothing Eye Balm

Status: A tiny bit left
I stopped using this to see did it make a difference to my skin and it didn't. I will get this finished pretty quickly.
Difficulty: Easy

Oriflame FeetUp Foot Cream

Status: Full
I love the smell of this foot cream, I didn't think kiwi and mint would go so nicely together. I'm going to try to use this twice a week to keep my feet more moisturised. I think this one will be hard to use up in the 3 months but I could be surprised.
Difficulty: Moderate

P.S. Love Body Lotion

Status: Full
I got this in a Christmas set either last year or 2 years ago. I don't like the scent as it smells fake. It is a very light body lotion and it's in a tiny 50ml bottle, so I think I should definitely get through it.
Difficulty: Easy

Oriflame Discover Parisian Delight Body Scrub

Status: 3/4 full
This is another product that I won in a hamper in October. I will be using this to exfoliate my legs before I shave. I love the smell of this body scrub, if it was in a body spray or body wash I would get it. The only thing I don't like is that it contains plastic micro beads, I wrote a post about it HERE, I've decided that I will use this just to get rid of it. I don't know how long it will take me to finish this, only time will tell!
Difficulty: Moderate

So... Sinful Body Spray

Status: 1/2 full
This is the first of 4 body sprays I have. A lot of these scents remind me of my 13/14 year old self. These aren't the most expensive to buy but I have grown out of them a bit and I want to start getting perfumes, at the moment I really want to get Dior Poison Girl perfume but the price tag is telling me otherwise.
Difficulty: Easy

Ted Baker Body Wash

Status: Full
This is another item I got in a Christmas set. I don't want to use it up but I want to start using it as I have been meaning to do so for the past while. It doesn't have a very sweet scent but I look forward to using it.
Difficulty: Moderate

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Status: Pan
I've had this for over a year and I really just want to use it and go onto my other 2 bronzers that I have. I like the shade of bronzer as it isn't orange and looks natural on me. Also, the packaging has gone very bad since it is a sample and made of cheap plastic. I'd prefer to have it used up before it falls apart.
Difficulty: Moderate

Benefit The POREfessional

Status: A tiny bit left
I completely forgot I had this until I tidied up my makeup collection, there's only a small bit left in the bottom and that's the reason why it is cut open. I'm nearly sure I will use this up easily.
Difficulty: Easy

Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me

Status: Half used
Remember these? Baby lips were so popular in 2013/14 and I still have 3. This is the one that has been used the most. I normally use these for school to add a little colour to my lips without making it very obvious. It's a sheer pink and I like using it.
Difficulty: Moderate

Oriflame Lip Sample 70

Status: A little left
I think I might get two or three more uses out of this. I love the colour, it's a sheer red but it is buildable.
Difficulty: Easy

Catrice Defining Blush 100 Rose Couture

Status: New
I just want to hit pan on this blush, I don't think I'd ever use up the whole thing. It isn't very pigmented so I think I should get through it at a steady pace. It is a baby pink colour and I have no idea will it suit me as a blush but I could use it as an eye shadow.
Difficulty: Hard

Seventeen Lip Lustre H167A

Status: 3/4 full
This is the first of 6 lip glosses that I want to use up. I like the colour as it is a nudey pink and adds a nice shine to my lips. I personally don't like lip glosses very much especially the sticky ones that your hair gets stuck in, thankfully this one isn't like that. I just don't use it and I want to make way for more lipsticks and liquid lipsticks to add to my collection.

L-R: Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me, Seventeen Lip Lustre, Oriflame Lip Sample 70, Benefit Hoola, Catrice Defining Blush in 100 Rose Couture
That's all for my Project Pan 15, I hope to do an update here on my blog or on Snapchat, follow me totally_ro.
Have you done a Project Pan? Please leave links.

Apps I Use For Blogging

I am an app person when it comes to blogging. I much prefer having my blog schedule on Google Docs than in a notebook as I can access it on my iPod and my laptop anywhere. I find it easier to use apps especially for organisation but I think it depends on the person. I am going to show you some of the Apps that I use for blogging.

 Google Doc

I used to use this more for my blog schedule until I started using Google Sheets. I find all the Google products great as I can type something on my iPod and go onto my laptop and there it is no fuss. I mostly use it for writing up Guest Posts and for putting in lists of ideas for future blog posts. Non blog related: I use it to work on different pieces I am writing. At the moment, I am writing a short story for Camp NaNoWriMo called Why? and I love how I can edit it on my go on my iPod.

Google Keep

I keep random notes in here from beauty products to try to Blog post ideas. I normally think of blog post ideas out of the blue and I find that the best place to put them on Google Keep. At a later time I transfer them over to Google Docs or Sheets.

Google Sheets

I've just recently gotten into using spreadsheets to sort out my blogging schedule, guest posts, my YouTube channel and keeping track of Twitter chats. I read a post by Nicole and I found it very interesting as I've always been half afraid of using spreadsheets. They always looked so complicated to me, it is quite easy actually! She also linked to another blog that had a free spreadsheet template which I am using at the moment. I would recommend reading Nicole's post as it is very informative and interesting.

Social Media

I think every Blogger has their own assortment of Social Media. I don't really see the point in giving them all individual headings as there isn't a lot to say about them. I have Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, GoodReads and Bloglovin'. I love using all these Apps.

I know there's a bit of a debate on which one to use Buffer or Hootesuite, I use Buffer as it's the first one I found. I always schedule my tweets for when new posts are published. The only downside is that you can only schedule 10 tweets at a time for free but that doesn't bother me too much.

I use this to edit my photos as I showed you the App before in my How I Blog: The Blog Post Process post. As I said on that post I personally hate editing photos especially when I have 10+ to do. I find it really boring to do but I always love the outcome.

What Apps do you use for blogging? I would love to know.

6 Ways To Find Out If A Brand Is Cruelty Free

As you know from many posts I have written, I try to go cruelty free with my makeup and skincare. It isn't the easiest thing in the world to do as a lot of companies like to confuse and lie about their animal testing regulations. Here is a few ways to find out if a brand is cruelty free.

Email The Company

I personally don't do this one as I like to find out instantly if a company tests on animals or not and also I find that the email you receive back confuses you more than anything but if you like to wait to get an answer and don't mind getting a weird email back go ahead. I know not all companies will try to confuse you but just beware that they might word it differently.

Use An App

There are so many scanner apps that scan the barcode of a product and tells you if the product is cruelty free or not. There are so many types of these apps, I've tried out a lot and my personal favourite is Cruelty-Cutter (IOS and Android) as it can scan the majority of things I own, the only thing is that it is not a European basted app so not all the brands that are available where I live scan.

Avoid Going Onto Companies Websites

This might sound like it should be the opposite away around but it's not. A lot of companies try to hide on their websites if they do animal testing by saying they're against it but they still do it. Here are a few examples of answers that I got from companies websites:

Are Simple products tested on animals?
Our parent company Unilever have been leading our industry and investing £3 million a year for the past 7 years on developing alternative non-animal testing methods.

This doesn't answer the question at all.

This is from Rimmel London Animal Testing Page
The only exceptions are the very few countries where, by law, the regulatory authorities require us to submit our products or ingredients to them for testing on animals as a mandatory part of their regulatory protocols in compliance with their local regulations.

Basically they mean that if they sell in places that by law needs animal testing, they'll do it.

Do They Sell in China?

By law in China, any makeup or skincare has to be tested on animals before being put on the market. This means if any company are selling in China they are testing their products on animals.

Take Everything With a Pinch of Salt

This is the internet so not all the information you get will be correct, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the things I have put into this post aren't correct. I think it's best to double check your resources and not believe everything anyone says. I always double check and compare resources.

Look Out For Leaping Bunny and Cruelty Free Logos

This one that has to be taken with a pinch of salt as even though it may state on a product that they are against animal testing doesn't mean they don't test on animals. Some cruelty free logos have less requirements than others for example it is easy for a company to get a PETA cruelty free logo than a Leaping Bunny one.

Cruelty Free Blogs

I wouldn't call my blog a cruelty free blog as it isn't the main topic of discussion here but there was some blogs and bloggers who dedicate time researching and writing up posts on this subject alone. They have so much information and share their own opinions on all things Cruelty Free makeup and skincare. I personally like Cruelty Free Kitty and Logical Harmony. Here is also a list of more cruelty free bloggers click HERE.

What's your opinion on cruelty free product? I'd love to know.

The Sisterhood of the World Award

I've been nominated by Aisling to do The Sisterhood of the World Blogger Award/Tag. This is similar to The Liebster Award which I have already done click HERE and I have done a few more so click HERE if you want to see the rest of them

What is your favourite subject in school?
My favourite subject in school is Music as I'm a huge music person and I find it a very relaxing class.

What is your favourite thing about yourself?
I love my creativeness as I can just dive into a new world while bored or thinking up of new ideas for things. I also I love my acting, even though I'm probably not the best at it but I love the feeling of being on stage.

What encouraged you to start blogging?
My backstory is so bad! I wanted to start a YouTube channel but I didn't have the equipment and I knew I would be awkward in front of camera so I thought blogging was the next best thing.

Where is your favourite place?
I can't pick just one place!
Place: My bedroom
City: London
Country: The Netherlands

If you could go back in time, when would you go back to?
This a really unusual one but I would go back to the filming of Back to the Future to be an extra or character, maybe Lorainne Baines- McFly or Jennifer Parker, in the movie. Obviously I just want to meet 1984 Micheal J. Fox. I love the movie, it is one of my all time favourite movie and I find it so enjoyable to watch and it always makes me happy.

What is your biggest achievement to date?
This is another question that I'm going to split into 2
Personal: Getting to act with a full adult cast and having to be a bride, not every 17 year old can say that. I know it's a weird thing to say as your biggest achievement but I have some great memories from it. I didn't mention this on my blog as I wasn't allowed but I sang for JK Rowling in my school choir at Christmas which was freaking awesome.
Blog: Hitting over 9,000 blog views and making some amazing Blogger friends.

How would you describe your style?
A mixture of everything, I can't put my style into one type!

Do you prefer to go all out with your make-up or do you prefer a natural look?
I’m a good in between. I like to experiment with makeup sometimes I won't wear any at all and other times, I'll go all out.

How do you like to spend you free time?
I like to keep busy, blogging, singing, playing guitar, ukelele and piano, kickboxing, reading, acting, writing songs and any writing in general.

Favourite TV series?
I love Greys Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Code Black. I also love Orange is the New Black but I don't have Netflix anymore.

I Nominate:

My Questions:

If you could be in 1 movie what would it be and why?
Apart from blogging, what other hobbies do you have?
Favourite makeup product?
iPhone or Android? Which is better?
If you could invite 4 people to a dinner party, dead or alive who would they be and why?
What's the next place you want to go on your Wanderlust?
What was/is you favourite subject in school?
What would be your ideal pet?
Favourite TV series?
If you could eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?

12 Girls Night Ideas Collab With Guilianna

This is a collab with my lovely blogger friend Guilianna, her post will be about Date Night Ideas. I am doing Girls Night ideas as what's better than a night or day with your friends. Sometimes we don't always have money to go and do exciting things with our BFFs but sometimes some of the best things don't cost half a leg! Here are a few Girls Night ideas that don't cost too much to cost a little (but it would be totally worth it).

Movie Night: Or multiple movies, if you feel adventurous. Someone is bond to have Netflix or an amazing selection of DVDs from chick flicks to horror the selection is endless. Add popcorn and PJs and it's perfect.

Cards Against Humanity: This is a horrible game for horrible people but who else to play it with than your best friends! This game is best with 7+ people. It's a great game to play if no one gets offended easily and everyone is up for a laugh. Even if you are not all together you can play an online version.

Baking: If Taylor Swift can do it, why can't you! If that is simple cupcakes or more advanced meringue, at the end you still get to eat it!

Face masks: Who doesn't like a nice face mask? If it's from Lush, somewhere else or homemade. It's awesome just to relax with a face mask on and talk. I have a Pinterest board just for face masks, click HERE. Just be careful what you put on your skin as not everything is good in a face mask especially lemon or egg whites.

Shopping!: A shopping spree with our friends is always so enjoyable especially when you find something that you really like. It's great fun.

Cinema: Go see the new Zac Efron, Channing Tatum or Chris Pratt movie. Chill and maybe get a large popcorn and some sweets to share.

Take a Class: Why not try out something new? Like kick boxing, Special FXs makeup, pottery, yoga, writing etc. etc. It could be your time to show off your skills or try to learn new ones.

Afternoon Tea: If you want to be classy and ladylike, why not have afternoon tea! It is such an enjoyable time with friends as you eat some delicious treats and if no place in your area does afternoon tea why not try DIY.

Concerts: Have a shared favourite artist that is coming to an arena near you? Get tickets, even if it isn't your favourite singer or band. Go, it will be a blast.

Paintballing: I have always wanted to do paintballing, it looks so exciting and slightly scary. I know it's not very lady like but you get to hit you friends with paintballs.

Adventure Parks: Go zip lining, canoeing, rock climbing, Boda Borg. There is so much that can be done. It is endless the possibilities that can be done and after the long day of great activities, go and have a PJs party.

Spa Day: If it is a relaxing day you are more after, this is for you. It is just a chill day with your friends as you go for a few treatments or facials.

Make sure you check out Guilianna's post.

My Travels: London + WB Studio Tour

Last week I got the amazing opportunity to go to London with some two of my aunts and four cousins. We arrived in London the day after the BRexit which wasn't planned at all!

This is my second time to go to London, the last time I went was 5 or 6 years ago.I always love going back to this city as I find it so interesting and there is no language barrier which can help. Even though we had 4 days in London, we only had 2 full days to do stuff.

The end of The Changing of the Guard
We flew out of Dublin Airport on Saturday 25th and arrived in Luton Airport (at first I thought it was Lupin Airport). The flight took around an hour so I wasn't that anxious about it as now I have become better at flying on planes. Then the next problem was trying to find the hotel. We had already figured out what train we had to get and that it would take 10 minutes to walk to the hotel. We eventually found the hotel as it spilled rain.

Sunday was the only day that we had in the city itself. We spent the day walking (ending up walking 20km). We did the very touristy things were done The London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Chinatown, West Minister Abbey and a West End Show.

I had never seen Jersey Boys and knew absolutely nothing about it. It was by far one of my favourite musicals ever as it had comedy in it but not Pantomime comedy and the set was so interesting as props were brought in and out instead of completely changing the set. I was surprised when it said it was based on a true story.

I kept passing this
I had been to all the other places the last time I was in London but I always like going on The London Eye as it is so relaxing and the views are fabulous.

On Monday, there was a little shopping done on Oxford Street as it was only 15 minutes walk from the hotel. If you are ever in London and love Lush go to the one on Oxford Street, it is three floors of wonderful. I bought a face mask called Rosy Cheeks, I haven't tried it out yet.

Then it was off to Hertfordshire to WB Studio Tour London The Making of Harry Potter. Isn't it weird how it's called WB Studio Tour London instead of Hertfordshire? Just a random thought!

I started reading the Harry Potter books at the age of 11 I think but I had watched one or two movies beforehand. I am currently re-reading the book series as I haven't read it since I was 11.

The studio tour is amazing and definitely worth the money as I spent 6 hours in there. It is so hard to explain how magical it feels to be there and see all the sets they used in the filming of the movies. I will show more pictures than talk about it.

I also tried Butterbeer which I still don't have an opinion on as it tasted really weird but kinda nice.

Inside Privet Drive
I got to go into part of the set for 4 Privet Drive and it was only because they extended the run of it until September.
Wigs from Bellatrix, Luna Lovegood and Lucius Malfoy

Yule Ball Outfits
Fabulous Snape

Just heading to the platform.
Bodiless Nearly Headless Nick

I thought this quote was cute.

As you can imagine, seeing the actually Hogwarts castle was utterly breathtaking. It was beauty and a great way to end the tour. I bought a few things in the gift shop, I won't be there for another few years, I bought:

Luna Lovegood's wand

A Ravenclaw pin and some pencils

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Bernie Bott's Every Flavour Beans

You could say I burned a hole in my pocket as I spent £50 in total (around €60) but it was worth it.

Apart from that was eating, sleeping, walking and traveling. None of the fun stuff!

Have you ever been to WB Studios London?
Thanks for being awesome,
